Noor Focus ("Noor Focus", "we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Noor Focus mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This Policy is drafted to comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws in Canada.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Device & Usage Data

• Anonymous device identifier (UUID generated on first launch)
• Operating‑system version & device model
• Screen‑time metrics and focus‑block events stored locally

2.2 Subscription & Payment Data

We do not collect credit‑card numbers. Purchases are processed by Apple Inc. (App Store) and our paywall service, Superwall, which in turn uses Stripe. We receive non‑personal subscription status and transaction IDs only.

2.3 Voluntary Information

If you contact support or submit feedback, we may collect your email and message content.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain the App’s focus‑blocking functionality
• Validate subscription entitlements
• Send in‑app notifications (e.g., Friday Reflection Report)
• Analyse aggregate, anonymised usage to improve features
• Respond to support inquiries

4. Local‑First Principle

Your focus statistics, blocked‑app lists, and Screen‑Time data are stored on‑device only. They are not transmitted to Noor Focus servers.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell or rent user information. We share limited data only with:

• Apple Inc. (in‑app purchases)
• Superwall & Stripe (subscription validation)
• Service providers who assist with crash reporting (e.g., Sentry) under strict confidentiality
• Authorities when required by law or court order

6. International Transfers

Some service providers are located outside Canada (e.g., United States). Where personal information is processed abroad, it is subject to foreign laws. We ensure appropriate contractual safeguards are in place.

7. Data Retention

Device identifiers and subscription status are retained while your subscription remains active and for up to 2 years thereafter to satisfy accounting obligations. Support emails are kept for 24 months then deleted.

8. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure; therefore absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your Rights (Canada)

You have the right to:

• Request access to personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)
• Challenge our compliance under PIPEDA to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the App or our website. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the revised Policy.
